The final designs for Professor Faustus von Draszel and Charybdiscyllastarte, the two morally ambiguous central characters of my Faust adaptation, Frankincense.
Faust was branded with the 'H' on the back of his neck as punishment by the Inquisition for charges of heresy, and Charybdis was banished to Hell as a former Pagan deity, to become a demon. Ostracized and misanthropic both, they get along quite well, despite Charybdis's emotional capacity of... well, zero. The fact that she haunts his home also makes romance awkward...  Their relationship is largely professional.--- I'm exceedingly pleased with the results of this pixel. Artistically, this base was an absolute delight to work with. Not only is it utterly gorgeous, elegantly simple, and emotionally powerful, but the subtle pixel coloring and lines were very easy to edit for my own use. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
