My costume for this season's Renaissance Festival; I masqueraded as a Saracen, a Middle Easterner during the time of the Crusades. I adapted pieces from last year's costume and imported new pieces to assemble the full outfit (including the blue tunic, from Morrocco ). For the record, I didn't sew anything- simply bought and matched the pieces individually ;)

I love it! It's very original, I hardly ever see costumes like this.

Thanks- and a big  for adding it to your collection :D

I'm always the only Saracen at my regional RenFaire! Last year I had a crusader ask me why I left the Holy Land :XD:

For some reason Turkish and Middle Eastern garb was fairly popular within the medieval club at my uni, but I hardly ever see it outside of that. Which is a shame because it's awesome.

Perhaps I would have felt more at home dressing in costume with your medieval club :D

I go to a super-small private college, and so we don't have era-themed historical clubs. So sad! :(

Yeah, I was always impressed with their garb. One of the guys always did Turkish and his garb was just . . . some of the best I've seen.
:iconapeacockpersian:
A guy?! Damn, I can't even get my guy friends to dress up like knights, let alone as Turks  That must have been an impressive costume.
